Use

Place the adjustable base on a flat, stable surface and use a compatible mattress to ensure a perfect fit and optimal support.

Adaptation

The adaptation period to adjust to a new adjustable base can vary from person to person, but it usually takes a few weeks to get used to all different positions and features. Experiment with the settings to find the position that gives you the most comfort and relief.

Care

It is recommended to check the adjustment mechanisms regularly and ensure that they are functioning properly. Clean the base with a soft, damp cloth to remove dust.

Orthex Canada inc. provides for your adjustable base, a three-year warranty from date of purchase, against electrical issues and a lifetime warranty on the structure (frame). When deficiency is approved by Orthex, the base will be replaced by the same model or its equivalent. Warranty claims should be made directly to Orthex via email or phone.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between a standard adjustable base and a multi-position base?

The main difference lies in the number and variety of positions offered. A standard adjustable base offers a few pre-set positions, while a multi-position base provides a broader range of adjustments, thereby offering a higher level of customization for comfort, mobility, and home care.

What factors should be considered when choosing an adjustable base?

Firstly, consider the desired positions and functions, as some individuals prefer the ability to elevate the upper body and legs, while others might require more advanced adjustments for health or comfort issues. It is also crucial to verify the weight capacity of the base to ensure it can support the mattress weight as well as the weight of individuals using it. Other factors such as noise level, ease of use, available options, service, and warranty should be anticipated to ensure a good return on investment and peace of mind.

What type of mattress should be used with an adjustable base?

Not all mattresses are suitable for adjustable bases, but foam mattresses are generally more compatible. If you already have a mattress you wish to use, check the manufacturer’s recommendations to ensure its compatibility with an adjustable base.
